Lilly Software Builds Momentum with Strong Vertical Market Strategy
25 June 2003, Hampton, NH (USA) —Improved license sales and a brand new release showcase Lilly Software Associates’ sales momentum. Lilly Software has seen its first quarter 2003 license sales increase over 30% compared to the first quarter of 2002. This increase shows that in a tough economy where software vendor acquisitions make headline news, manufacturers and distributors recognize the reliability and advantages of Lilly’s end-to-end system. To further drive sales this year, the company has also recently released version 6.3 of VISUAL Enterprise™. With new tools and enhancements that particularly benefit vertical markets such as medical devices, A&D, and the automotive industry, version 6.3 offers its users more control over their business processes.
“VISUAL Enterprise version 6.3 is another release packed with enhancements that directly meets our customers’ needs and allows them to operate more efficiently and ensure delivery of quality products,” says Scott Rich, Vice President, Marketing, Lilly Software Associates. “We’re continuing to enhance our software and develop new applications, such as the .NET-based Global Edition of VISUAL Financials and mobile solutions, and we’re keeping an on-going focus on vertical markets. License sales are up 30%, and this is an important measurement as it validates the continued market acceptance of LSA’s solution. We’re selling because we have the tools and strategies that companies want to invest in for a high return.”
In version 6.3, companies, especially those with customers that have stringent production requirements, gain new standard tools that promote quality, integrate real-time data, and help them find necessary information faster than ever before. For example, more powerful Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Purchase Requisitions features allow users to
create documents with approval teams, electronic signatures, and notification systems, including the new Task Maintenance window. A new Cost Simulation tool helps companies in their goals to be more efficient by allowing them to develop costing scenarios to determine the most successful production schedules for parts or series of parts using material, labor, burden, and service charges.
Along with these enhancements, other highlighted functionality from this release includes improved document handling, dimensional inventory, and traceability capabilities, as well as additional automotive and repetitive manufacturing tools.
Packed with helpful features that differentiate it from competitor solutions and demonstrate Lilly Software’s dedication to its customers, VISUAL Enterprise version 6.3 is available now.
